When customer confirms a quotation, you can confirm the quotation and create a Sales Order automatically. In this article, you are presented with different approaches to confirming a quotation.

The common way to confirm a quotation is to create a new Order. But if there are cases where customer is requesting an upgrade or add-on package for an existing Order, adding the confirmed quotation into an existing Order is a more relevant approach.

Below list the steps for both procedure.

As New Order

  1. ProLine will prompt whether you really want to proceed with a confirmation. Select “Yes” to continue.
  2. It will then prompt that a new customer account is created if customer does not exists in the Contacts Account.
  3. Select “Yes” to proceed and ProLine will automatically create the Order and continue.

To An Existing Order

  1. ProLine will prompt whether you really want to proceed with a confirmation. Select “Yes” to continue.
  2. You will be prompt which existing Order number to be appended into.

Transferring to an existing Sales Order will add the Quotation as an additional Set to the Order.

All of the information will follow the existing Sales Order except for the location contacts, schedules & amount details.

Confirmed Quotations will no longer editable. You can only view or print from these quotations.
